The Red Chamber

The Red Chamber is a short film set in a modern day London migrant brothel. The film follows Hongmei, the brothel’s oldest worker, who fears she will soon be removed from the brothel, and a new girl who is just entering the trade.

We need two more characters for the film.

The first character is one of the brothel’s regulars, a Chinese man in his 40’s. This character appears in two scenes and will be a speaking role. However, the actor must be able to speak Mandarin well enough to come across as a native speaker.

The second character is one of the brothel’s workers, a 25+ year old Eastern European woman. This is a background role but has some speaking lines.
