Casualty is a multi award-winning drama series about the staff and patients at the Holby City Emergency Department, charting the ups and downs in their personal and professional lives whilst tackling many controversial and taboo issues. Through great writing and visual flair the show balances gritty realism with high drama to keep its millions of dedicated viewers coming back for more, on-screen and on-line, week in week out.

Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will report to the Post Production Supervisor and become a part of the Casualty Post Production team.

This is a junior level role that provides in depth on site training that will over the length of contract enable you to be able to complete the following duties: -

• Assist editors and all members of the post production team with operational support
• Guide freelancers through internal workflows, procedures and systems
• Undertake small fixes, sync pulls and edits when required
• Export media in a variety of codecs and wrappers including QTs, DPXs, AAFs and other formats
• Manage media on NEXIS Workspaces, and secure back-ups onto LTOs
• Upload to cloud based viewing systems and file transfer systems
• Ingest from a variety of card based formats
• Review Episodes from a technical and objective point of view

Our busy team are supported by the Edit Assistants and Junior Edit Assistant, who fulfil a variety of tasks within Post Production from running to assisting the other team members in all areas.

It’s really important you have the necessary skills we’re looking for. Can you demonstrate:

• Experience of working in a Post Production Department as a Post Production Runner
• Knowledge of Avid Media Composer
• Knowledge of the Post Production techniques
• Knowledge of the Industry Standard Software
• Experience and knowledge of variety of card based formats, archive files or legacy tape based media
• Experience of working in a fast paced environment
• Knowledge and passion for Continuing Drama, especially Casualty
