THE ROLE:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced PR & Social Media Executive to join our creative, friendly, and supportive team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead on the research, planning, creation, and delivery of a social media strategy based on commercial objectives and key business and marketing messaging
• Develop and maintain creative publishing of relevant, original and high-quality social content to promote the company, driving follower and engagement growth amongst all of our social platforms
• Take ownership of creating and delivering regular organic social media campaigns and content plans and comprehensive reporting and analysis of the efficacy of all marketing activity
• Create captivating content for our social platforms, which may include writing posts, articles and blogs
• Liaise with other departments and creatives to create a holistic and effective social strategy
• Delivery of email marketing campaigns
• Build relationships with external industry and subject matter experts to create engaging assets and content
• Draft and pitch press releases and feature ideas to national, regional and trade journalists, identifying proactive PR opportunities and arranging appropriate spokesperson interviews and other opportunities on behalf of the company
• Monitor press coverage and report to the wider team
• Act as a reliable and responsive point of contact for all press and media enquiries
• Create an annual Awards calendar, identifying key opportunities for project submission as well as coordinate company entries
• Monitor relevant industry news and engage in industry groups - research and evaluate the latest trends to join relevant conversations and share with management team
• Help to manage attendance at industry events, conferences and trade shows (national and international) and promote forthcoming events and reporting on social media
• Overseeing and sending out all internal comms, ensuring employees are kept informed and motivated. Communicating through slack, email bulletins and social media.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

• You ideally have 3-5 years’ experience in a relevant VFX role behind you, where content and social media development were a key part of the role.
• A proven track record in delivering PR and social media campaigns within a creative environment, with a strong working knowledge of LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
• Exceptional communication and copywriting skills and the ability to confidently write social media posts and press releases
• Ability to analyse data and trends and turn these into insight to define appropriate recommendations and strategies
• Assured in your capability to advise the business on the latest social channels/formats and intelligence
• An impeccable attention to detail
• An analytical and creative approach to your work
• Ability to thoroughly review and approve content based on quality, fit for platform and alignment to brand & company guidelines
• A real passion for creating engaging content
• The ability to use data and insight to improve social media performance
• Experience of rolling out email marketing campaigns using MailChimp or similar
• Confidence in building and maintaining relationships with industry and subject matter experts
• Experience using shotgrid.
