Job Description

This is a part-time project / limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 12-14 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

As the Playback Associate Producer, you are responsible for organizing, prepping, directing, and leading the EVS playback room for NBC’s Premier League studio production.

Responsibilities:

• Manage EVS operators, highlight producers and production associates during matchdays and in the lead up to match weekends
• Prepare the playback room in advance of the match days by organizing footage needed for upcoming matches
• Organize and direct EVS playback traffic during live studio days
• Review all post-produced elements before they air & check them for timing, content, and outcues
• Update the format rundown with timings, content information and anything pertinent for the director/producer
• Cut pre & post-game interviews using sound editorial judgement and/or at the direction of the producer
• Cut teases and rollouts to break
• Cut the occasional match highlight during multi-match game windows
• Ability to multitask and perform playback responsibilities while simultaneously listening to our on-air talent and producers
• Capacity to communicate quickly and effectively with talent, producers, directors, EVS operators and production assistants
• Generate and distribute story and show ideas for all shows and platforms
• Participate in all show production meetings
• Prepare and fulfill all sales/sponsored elements that play out of the EVS/playback room
• Oversee the cataloguing and archiving of footage for future use
• Familiarity and understanding of soccer in general and the Premier League in particular is very helpful but not required

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent work experience
• 1-2 years minimum of professional production experience in an EVS playback room
