Overview

The Digital Production Designer will possess exceptional design skills and support higher-level staff to bring to life visual designs for all online initiatives including websites, emails & digital media. Working with an understanding of foundational brand pillars and an integrated strategy, the Production Designer will be a trusted team member who can both finalize the design process initiated by more senior team members, and also create compelling, targeted, relevant content that educates, surprises, charms, and ultimately drives consumer engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Provides support to Art Directors and Senior Designers for projects including website design, email marketing, online advertising & banner campaigns, social media marketing, presentations, site QA and other ad hoc projects, as needed.
• Works with Art Directors to create digital content including emails, banners and designs for other creative and marketing initiatives.
• Assists in developing and maintaining a consistent creative look and feel for all cross-channel content.
• Is able to articulate the creative thinking behind the design decisions.
• Takes ownership and initiative to identify gaps in current assets and offers recommendations for new content.
• Partners closely with project managers on the production process; meeting goals and deadlines necessary for timely delivery of all projects and creative assets.
• Actively communicates with cross-functional partners to understand the business needs, strategy and deliverables.
• Ensures visual designs adhere to project requirements, objectives, and timelines upholding brand standards across all projects.
• Remains current on developments in digital technology, design, advertising, and 360 marketing, and is inspired by innovations in design, art and culture to bring the “state of the art” edge to David Yurman.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years design experience within the luxury space
• Bachelor’s degree required
• An intimate understanding and excellent command of typography, color, layout, the digital production process and usability
• Conceptual thinking and strong hands-on design skills
• Detail-oriented, efficient, organized, self-starter, highly productive and collaborative approach to work
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks, and work both independently and as part of a team
• Superior knowledge and skills with Adobe CS Suite and Figma; experience with Principle and Keynote preferred
• Knowledge of video editing, animation and motion graphics a plus
