Contract : Part time / Temp

Job Description:

We are seeking a Web UX Designer to analyze and enhance a business application that was recently converted from a Windows application to a .Net web application. The goal is to make this web version of the software more user-friendly and intuitive for clients and the internal accounting team, with improvements needed in the UX design of pages, formatting and display of data and data grids, features on the pages, application workflow, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with IT and business users to understand overall application functionality and issues
  • Analyze application page layouts, features, data displays, workflows, etc. to identify UX design improvements
  • Create wireframes/mockups and application workflow diagrams to reflect UX designs
  • Collaborate with application development team on UX design requirements
  • Conduct validation/usability testing to ensure requirements have been implemented successfully

Skills/Experience Required:

  • 2+ years of UX Design experience with web-based, business applications
  • Experience creating wireframes/mockups and application workflow diagrams
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Experience with accounting-related applications is a plus
  • Capable and interested in performing UI Development portion of the project, including strong .Net web UI Development skills ASP.Net, JavaScript, JQuery, Angular2+, Bootstrap, KendoUI or some other grid/table display tool.

Length of Contract: 2-3 months expected (longer if performing UI Development work)

Pay Structure: Hourly (W2 or Independent Consultant)

Work Type: Remote/Work-From-Home, with occasional in-person meetings in the Houston office.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications
