Job Description:

All applicants MUST submit a cover LETTER following the instructions in order to be considered for this position. We’re looking for an experienced, collaborative, and forward-thinking Web Developer to assist with a variety of needs on a freelance/contract-basis.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience
• Proven success in reaching target audience through online advertising, including SEO/SEM initiatives
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and motivation to learn
• Ability to research and execute solutions
• Technical aptitude and the ability to problem solve

Skills:

• Basics of Web Development
• HTML
• JavaScript
• CSS
• Responsive (for different devices)
• PHP (version 7 or better)
• WordPress (modern versions like 5 & 6), experience with custom integrations.
• Experience building custom themes and plugins for WordPress.
• Familiarity with MySQL
• Knowledge of cross-browser and device compatibility issues and limitations
• Direct experience working within a CMS environment to establish template web sites including authoring, customizing, and posting of content and images.
• Familiarity with implementing plugins or code snippets related to ad placement.
• Direct experience using SEO best practices to gain market share, leads, target audience.
• Direct experience establishing, managing, monitoring, and measuring SEM ad words and other PPC online advertising initiatives.
• Direct experience using Google Analytics to measure and qualify site traffic and ad campaign results
• Experience with popular web hosting platforms such as Bluehost, SiteGround…
• Experience with Node.js, Next.js, React Python a plus but not required.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Managing projects, whether new or existing
• Communicating with different teams to collaborate on projects
• Overall management of websites Making recommendations to aid in optimizing sites
• Enhance site speed, implementing content changes, and creating an informative environment for over half a million annual visitors
• Work with marketing department to have consistent branding across site.
• Communicate the progress of the project (weekly progress) and problems should they arise.
• Maintain the order and overall security of the website.
• Keep up with the latest advancements in coding and web development.
• Conduct routine audit of corporate and properties’ website presence, speed, tagging, etc. to ensure functionality, accuracy and adherence with all Fair Housing and ADA guidelines and in line with DF Best Practices while using white hat techniques.
• Optimize landing pages and existing copy for SEO purposes, perform keyword discovery and optimization, and analyze competitors’ advertising. By carrying out tests, and compiling reports from traffic and competitors, achieve maximum ROI for online ad campaigns.
