Mystic Journey Bookstore & Crystal gallery is looking for a part-time Graphic Designer. Commitment 15-20 Hours a week…

Skills

• Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Applications (Specifically Photoshop & InDesign as you will be creating promos, flyers, product labels, certificates & PDFs)
• Must be proficient in Webflow (3 of the company’s websites are built using Webflow. You will be making copy changes, graphical & visual updates, so the knowledge of this platform is crucial)
• Must be proficient in Creating Print-Ready files (You will be designing & submitting business cards, bookmarks, custom bags, etc. for printing. We use VistaPrint.com & Papermart.com)
• Shopify (You will receive a 1-on-1 training) (Mystic Journey Crystal Gallery has an online store. Your responsibility will include adding new products, updating product inventory & making necessary changes both visual & text-based)
• Mailchimp (You will receive a 1-on-1 training) (You will be designing & sending a weekly Newsletter. Example: https://mailchi.mp/0120435c3d13/mjb-65720)
• Must be familiar with GoDaddy & have basic IT understanding (You will need to renew products such as emails & domains when necessary)
• Basic Sound Editing (You will receive a 1-on-1 training) (Music Journey has a Bi-Weekly Podcastwith its founder, Jeffrey Segal. You will download pre-recorded MP3 files, add intro & outro & will upload the final files to Buzzsprout.comalong with necessary artwork to distribute the podcast to Spotify & Apple Podcast. You will also design promotional materials to promote the Podcast)

Extra Skill

• Product Photography (Not a must, but a huge plus!) Mystic Journey’s Online store(shop.mysticjourneycrystals.com) has hundreds of Crystals. The Inventory is updated several times a year. Taking pictures of new Crystals can be your responsibility for extra pay. If you are familiar with product photography (Crystals, specifically) this can be a great way for you to earn extra $$.

Responsibilities

• Taking photos of new Crystals (usually ~75 pieces a session)
• Writing down information needed to post them to the online store (dimensions, weight, price etc.)
• Editing Crystal photos in Lightroom or any other photo-editing software)
• Uploading Crystal Pics along with descriptions to Shopify
• Making necessary changes when needed.
