Job Description
We are currently seeking Production Managers for upcoming national tours in the United States, Canada & Central America. Applicants should have an extensive knowledge of event Production Management, as well as basic knowledge of all elements of theatrical production including audio, video and lighting. Please Note: This is a SALARIED position with office hours when not touring, so you must be based in the Orlando area for consideration.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Responsible for all pre-production elements of each show, including booking labor, security, setting call times, arranging truck arrival times, and more.
- Traveling to host cities for events.
- Responsible for overall running of road & local crew from load-in through load-out.
- Responsible for overseeing load-in and load-out in a timely manner. As Production Manager, you also act as Crew-Chief during load-in.
- This is a physical requirement and you will be expected to help load & unload trucks, setup staging, and assist with A/V and lighting setup if needed. You are there from beginning to end of each load-in and load-out.
- Ensure equipment is maintained either through self-servicing equipment, or informing BTFP office.
- Ensure equipment is put on truck in orderly fashion to ensure itâs safe arrival in next city.
- Ensuring protection of BTFPâs image and reputation at events worldwide.
Experience Required
- Knowledge of dance conventions & competitions is a major plus, please include this in your resume.
- Minimum 2 years tour management or production management experience in related entertainment production field.
- Basic conventional/intelligent lighting, audio, and video experience.
- Ability to work long hours in high-stress theatrical production environments.
- Ability to work overnight shifts.
- Desire to tour & work year-round.
Compensation and Benefits
- $50k-$70k yearly salary, plus $65/day Per Diem when traveling.

- Have you ever been a Production Manager in a Live Event setting previously? If so, describe your experience.
- Do you have experience with audio/visual equipment including LED Video Panels, Projectors, or Breakout room audio systems? Do have experience with building staging, truss, set carpentry, scaffolding, or technical repair?
- Have you ever worked for a childrenâs dance competition or convention? If so, as a one-off event or in a touring capacity?
