Position: Producer, News

Revolt Black News producers work as a team to provide news, information, and perspective to Black communities throughout America and the African diaspora. Each day you will determine the stories that are most critical to our culture. Using compelling story-telling and investigative journalism principles, you will primarily craft meaningful content for the news division’s flagship series, Revolt Black News Weekly.

In the producer role, you will be responsible for weekly story assignments and in-studio discussions. This position will report directly to the Executive Producers and News Director, while working closely with the Anchor, Booking Department, News Desk and Post Production. Your work will be programmed across our linear, digital, and social platforms.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in broadcast or cable news as a producer or AP.
• Excellent writing skills (script and edit plans).
• Excellent research skills.
• At least 3 years of field producing experience.
• Newsroom experience preferred.
• Experience with digital/social content creation is a plus.
• Live in Atlanta, GA.
