Develops, deploys, and optimizes marketing communications campaigns and a multi-faceted organic website presence
About the Temporary Graphic Designer Opportunity:
Provides creative solutions and implementation to all areas of the SC Johnson College of Business Marketing and Communication team
Reports to the Creative Director but works collaboratively with a diverse team
Position responsibilities include:
- Ability to understand the “bigger picture”
- Support the design and production of digital assets
- Strong conceptual and critical thinking skills
- Deliver assets on deadline
- Contribute design skills for marketing and branding projects
- Develop and execute creative concepts and designs that meet brand guidelines
- Create mood boards, storyboards, and visual concepts for campaigns
- Create digital mock-ups and presentations
- Partner closely with all teams to identify problems and translate them into creative solutions
- Create new design and photo concepts
- Collaborate with the Creative Director
- Ability to work in a face-paced environment with changing needs
Qualifications:
Required:
- BFA / BA or related degree
- Must have 4-7 years of design and production experience
- Expert level skills in Adobe CC: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Drive - Docs, Sheets, Slides
- Working knowledge of project management and communication tools such as Slack, Trello, Basecamp, Quip, Asana
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Solid understanding of traditional offset printing and digital printing
- Understand and enjoy typographic, photography, composition and illustration principals and foundations
- Able to take design direction and positively respond to feedback
- Strong asset management and organization skills for file management
Preferred:
- Expertise or knowledge of complex marketing campaigns
- Brand development and expertise in the implementation
- Social listening skills and proven outcomes based on data
- Interest in photo management and organization of vast categories of images
- Familiarity working with development teams
- Experience working with digital marketing that delivers large volume of digital ads/creative
- Experience working in higher education
Job Details:
This is a full time, exempt, temporary, benefits eligible position with a duration of six months
Pay range for position is $65K - $70K annually
