Job Description:
Our client is a prominent fashion retailer seeking a temporary, part time, Visual Merchandise Coordinator (3 days/24 hours per week for 6 months).
Position starts on 7/7/23 and is an IN-OFFICE position.
Hourly rate of $23-$25/hour depending on experience.
This position is corporate office based and will be responsible for assisting in developing window presentations, floor sets and communicating directives utilizing Photoshop and in Design to develop prototypes.
1 year of visual merchandising and advanced skills in Adobe Creative are required.
Assists with the production of the monthly lease lines and window presentations, including setting up the product, photographing the set up, and formatting the document.
Essential Functions:
- Produces monthly window scenarios for the chain as well as flagship and specialty stores, including photographing the mock studio and local store; inputting text, graphics and photos; and formatting documents.
- Collaborates with visual team throughout process to ensure accuracy and meets execution within deadline.
- Assists with setting up the visual mock store studio windows, including gathering and inventorying samples, steaming garments, and styling the product on mannequins. Photographs and documents the set up.
- Supports the visual team in the process to present creative concepts, window elevations, and special projects.
- Produces presentation boards to illustrate ideas for various visual initiatives.
- Handles reporting window dashboard as needed for rollouts and special projects.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Excel, and Microsoft Word
- Attention to details and accuracy in design and production a must (proofing, color work)
- Photography skills
- Confident, responsible, and likes to take on new challenges.
- Highly organized, deadline driven, and can juggle multiple tasks effectively.
- Able to work within set graphics standards and accept art direction while still pushing the creative envelope.
- Creative visual merchandising talent.
- A fast learner and good communicator.
- Self-motivated, team player willing to pitch in wherever necessary.
- Enjoys a fun fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business which may require evenings and weekends
Education & Experience:
- 1+ years of retail experience preferably in women’s specialty apparel
- College degree in graphic design and merchandising preferred
- Minimal travel required
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
