Temporary Graphic Designer: Marketing and Communications, SC Johnson College of Business
Job Summary:
The Temporary Graphic Designer will provide creative solutions and implementation to all areas of the SC Johnson College of Business Marketing and Communication team. They will support the design and production of digital assets, develop and execute creative concepts, and contribute to marketing and branding projects.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the mission and goals of the department, unit, and University and respond to client needs.
- Support the design and production of digital assets including online/mobile graphics, emails, and banner ads.
- Utilize conceptual and critical thinking skills to develop creative design solutions.
- Deliver assets on deadline and communicate any issues in advance.
- Contribute to marketing and branding projects with a focus on simple, strong design.
- Create mood boards, storyboards, and visual concepts for campaigns.
- Create digital mock-ups and presentations for stakeholders.
- Optimize final files for print and digital production.
- Collaborate with teams to solve problems and drive admissions metrics.
- Maintain brand consistency across all mediums.
Required Qualifications:
- BFA/BA or related degree
- 4-7 years of design and production experience
- Online portfolio demonstrating typography, composition, design, and/or illustration skills
- Expert skills in Adobe CC: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Drive
- Working knowledge of project management and communication tools
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of traditional and digital printing
- Strong organizational skills

- Expertise in complex marketing campaigns
- Brand development and implementation
- Social listening skills and data-driven outcomes
- Experience working with digital marketing and ads
- Experience working in higher education
