Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Post Production Supervisor to oversee the completion of post-production on a documentary. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in post-production, with a deep understanding of industry-standard software, techniques, and workflows. They will be responsible for managing the entire post-production pipeline, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality content, and collaborating with various teams to achieve the desired creative vision.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the post-production process from start to finish, including editing, sound design, color grading, visual effects, and final delivery.
- Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and creative teams to understand the project requirements and creative vision.
- Create and maintain detailed post-production schedules, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Supervise a team of post-production professionals, including editors, sound designers, colorists, and visual effects artists.
- Provide guidance and feedback to the post-production team, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with external vendors and freelancers when necessary to ensure project needs are met.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the post-production process.
- Stay up to date with the latest post-production techniques, software, and industry trends.
- Ensure all projects adhere to budget constraints and project timelines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Post Production Supervisor or similar role in the entertainment industry.
- In-depth knowledge of industry-standard post-production software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Avid Media Composer, Pro Tools, DaVinci Resolve, etc.
- Strong technical skills and understanding of video codecs, formats, and delivery requirements.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with visual effects workflows and software is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in film production or a related field is preferred.
