HIRING PERFORMING ARTISTS:
The Green Room is looking for Theater Directors, Choreographers, and teachers to join our team. We focus on theater, dance, and music education.
We currently have openings for the following positions:
- CHOREOGRAPHER (90 minute production)
- DIRECTOR (90 minute production)
- MUSICAL THEATRE TEACHER (after-school class)
At various schools in Saratoga, Los Altos, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Hillsborough, and San Mateo
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (Artists can work as few as 1 day a week or as many as 5)
Starting September of 2023

DIRECTOR REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience working with children, grades K-5 or 6 - 8.
- Theater training and past directing experience.
- Ability to supervise groups of children of different ages and create a safe, fun, and creative learning environment.
- Strong communication skills, especially with parents and school staff.
- Collaboration with other teaching artists and an ability to create and communicate a cohesive theme throughout each production.
- Willing to follow a clear rehearsal schedule and be available for tech week and shows.
- Have a vehicle, and be willing to drive to various locations in the Bay Area.
CHOREOGRAPHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience working with children, grades K-5 or 6 - 8.
- Dance training and ability to create interesting and dynamic dances for groups of 20 plus students with various dancing abilities.
- Ability to supervise groups of children of different ages and create a safe, fun, and creative learning environment.
- Strong communication skills, especially with parents and school staff.
- Willing to follow a clear rehearsal schedule and be available for tech week and shows.
- Collaboration with other teaching artists.
- Have a vehicle, and be willing to drive to various locations in the Bay Area.
MUSICAL THEATRE TEACHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience working with children, grades K-5 or 6 - 8.
- Theater or dance training (singing training a plus!).
- Ability to supervise groups of children of different ages and create a safe, fun, and creative learning environment.
- Have a vehicle, and be willing to drive to various locations in the Bay Area.
- Strong communication skills, especially with parents and school staff.
- Willing to prepare and follow lesson plans.
Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
