The following contract positions offer competitive pay, flexible hours, and the ability to work from any location globally. We are seeking candidates interested in both long-term engagements as well as short-term freelance gigs which can be completed outside of traditional business hours. Candidates must be expert at using online collaboration tools for data-centric projects, thoughtful communicators, and creative thinkers.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with data scientists and statisticians to understand insights extracted from complex data sets.
• Create beautiful visualizations that effectively communicate those insights in an accessible and polished manner.
• Design static, animated, and interactive visualizations.
• Collaborate with motion graphics or web animation skills, or work with an animator or web UI developer to bring interactivity to life.
• Create concise, punchy visualizations for social media delivery.
• Develop rich, full-screen visualizations for web or environmental use.

Qualifications:

• Expertise in using online collaboration tools for data-centric projects.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with motion graphics or web animation is a plus.
• Knowledge of print or editorial design is a plus.
