Location: Glassboro, NJ
Contract: Part-time, Temporary
Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality and professional customer service to instructors and students.
- Work one-on-one with instructors to assist in the development and technical implementation of online course materials, primarily using an academic Learning Management System and related digital multimedia or online content creation software.
- Support digital media technologies including synchronous and asynchronous instructional delivery technologies.
- Analyze existing instructional material and provide recommendations for improvements to existing Rowan recommended learning models.
- Assess online course design to assure compliance with Federal, NJ State, and Rowan University official online course standards and requirements.
- Train educators and students on instructional design standards, digital curricular development best practices, and on the use of academic online technologies.
- Troubleshoot technical issues reported by instructors and students.
- Maintain project documentation.
- Assisting with other various projects and initiatives within the University.
Qualifications:
Required:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience supporting users in a Higher Education environment with online, academic technologies.
- Proficiency with designing online courses in commercial, academic Learning Management Systems such as Canvas by Instructure.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Have strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Be extremely customer-service oriented
- Be able to work independently to solve problems with minimal supervision
- Be able to work with both technical and non-technical staff
Preferred:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or a technology related field.
- Proficiency in creation and maintenance of digital multi-media for online learning.
- Experience teaching academic courses online.
- Experience providing training, support, and instruction for use of software applications and computer skills.
- Experience managing work groups and small projects.
