Your Role

If you have a passion for helping others through visual storytelling and are excited about the opportunity to create engaging content for a variety of channels, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. This is a part-time, temporary, project-based role with the potential for international exposure and impact.

Responsible for overseeing the lighting design and all lighting equipment (electric and non-electric) to capture visually stunning video content in studio for an episodic docuseries in collaboration with the cinematographer and director:

  • Design the lighting plan for two permanent in-studio set ups and several variable setups
  • Manage set up and breakdown of lighting
  • Attend and contribute to pre-production meetings as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as gaffer or similar role (submit portfolio links)
  • Proficient skill level in lighting techniques for studio and on-location shoots
  • Experience lighting multi-camera interviews
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of video production, including filming and editing

Contract Terms:

  • Shooting Schedule: August 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20
  • Possible Additional Dates (TBD): Aug 14, 16, 18 (TBD)
  • Each shoot is approximately 4-6 hours

Salary:

  • $80-100 per day (flat rate)
  • No benefits or paid expenses
