Position: Digital Marketing Specialist

The Digital Marketing Specialist (DMS) is responsible for contributing to client marketing services projects and TLD media creation. This includes basic website building, email marketing and copywriting. In addition to this primary responsibility the DMS participates in collective Marketing & Media Team efforts. The DMS reports directly to the Marketing Director and the Media & Brand Manager.

Contract Duration:

This is a temporary contract position (September 2023 - January 2024) with the possibility of continuation based on performance and company needs. This position is full-time. This staff person is expected to reside in the state of Michigan.

Responsibilities:

• Support client marketing services through delegated fulfillment tasks including but not limited to:
• Building basic websites on Squarespace
• Developing email marketing strategies and designing email templates
• Copywriting for websites and other marketing efforts
• Support creation and promotion of the 2023 Holiday Gift Guide
• Content implementation for our digital gift guide on Squarespace
• Social media and email content development
• Assist with content development for our annual Local Food Guide.
• Contribute to other TLD Media content as needed including but not limited to: blogs, consumer newsletters, local food guide stories, holiday gift guide.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience designing websites using Squarespace
• Effective writing skills
• Digital marketing skills, including: email marketing management, website editing, content marketing, etc.
• Experience in Local Food Systems, preferably Michigan
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Eye for Design; experience with Canva
• Quick learner
• Strong Communicator
• Self directed and comfortable with remote based work

Salary and Benefits:

Anticipated Salary: $20-$23/hour

Benefits: This is contract position, so no additional benefits are included. If after the allotted contract period, a staff position was available and offered, benefits would be made available.
