Location: Los Angeles, United States

Contract: Part Time

Responsibilities:

• Researches and writes long form script for a two-hour broadcast.
• Segment produces as needed.
• Works directly with Executive Producers in big picture planning to develop content and script.
• Research involves in person visits and information gathering with an emphasis on personal skills.
• Attends editorial meetings.
• Assists Executive Producer in creating and formatting live show rundown.
• Excellent grammar skills with a diverse vocabulary and proficient at spelling.
• Work in concert with Executive Producers and hosts to build a show that is engaging and flows naturally.
• Must meet deadlines and have strong prioritization & time management skills.
• Must interact positively and productively with others and take feedback and constructive criticism comfortably.
• Must be a leader in a strong team environment.
• Must show initiative and have ability to act decisively.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Fluency in English.
• 5+ years of experience in content and script writing and producing that appeals to wide audiences.
• Well organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexities, prioritize assignments, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including OneDrive and other office equipment as needed.

Compensation:

$35/hr+ commensurate with experience and skill level.
