Hi - My name is Dan and I have been solo traveling for 10 years. I love adventure sports and trying new food from all over the world. I also love learning about local cultures music and customs.

What’s the project, and what do you need from a freelancer? - I am finally going to start a travel video series on youtube. I want to go to places that people from the united states are afraid of and show them just how beautiful the people who live in those places are :)

The goal is to break down the walls that divide us, and hopefully help everyone see each other as a brother rather than a potential enemy.

To do that I want to hire a videographer to join me for the day I spend with local guides, filming our exploits and adventures and conversations. If you can help set upshots that would be great. I would also ask you to capture random beautiful or thrilling moments we see as we explore for “B-roll” clips.

I would likely have you filming for 8 + hours.

Then I would ask you for help reducing the footage down to the best clips to send to the editor.

Can you provide examples of your preferred style?

Simple interviews, where the camera bounces back between each persons face every few seconds and shakes slightly. Also split up with clips of the area, showing people living their lives and the real “flavor” of the city.
