Position Statement

AyurPrana is seeking to engage a Freelance Video Editor. The individual will be responsible for looking through footage and making rough cuts of videos for our new and upcoming streaming app, AyurPrana+. The assignments will be project by project based. The freelance Video Editor will work in collaboration with the production team to help edit a range of videos from concert footage from the AyurPrana Listening Room musical venue, courses about Ayurvedic wellness, and yoga classes. The right individual should be well organized, efficient, and easy to communicate with. The ideal individual is interested in yoga/meditation/Ayurveda but priority will be given to candidates with a strong editing experience and an amiable personality.

This role is located in Asheville, NC and is not a remote opportunity.

Primary duties

• Edit short form content ranging from courses, yoga instructional videos, and television series.
• Work directly with the production team on rough cut drafts, and take notes from director and producer.
• Add music tracks and ability to include motion graphics and sound design.

Requirements:

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience
• High level of proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro
• Motion graphic experience preferred
• Color correction experience preferred
• Must be able to basic sound mixing

Physical Requirements - (not limited to)

• Must be able to move, transport, or position items up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, crawl, reach above and below shoulders, repetitive arm and wrist use, climb ladders and stairs, and walk on uneven surfaces.
• Mostly sedentary position; however, must be able to move, ascend/descend, or traverse.
• Must be able to see and hear.
• Must be able to communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself, and exchange information with or without accommodation.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
• Must be able to work around moderate noise level.
