This is an exciting opportunity for an individual actively pursuing a career in the video production industry. The freelance videographer/editor is responsible for assisting the Blitz Studios team in creating a visual representation of the work we perform for our clients. You will be expected to help in all three aspects of pre-production, production, and post.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain proper levels and calibration of cameras, recorders and other production equipment. This includes knowledge of adjusting camera settings - shutter speed, aperture, white balance, ISO, and frame rates.
• Critical thinking under high stress environment such as weddings. Being able to quickly adapt on your feet and constantly adjust camera settings for various lighting environments.
• Work closely with the creative staff to execute concepts through to completion. You will be required to complete projects on quick turnaround times and deadlines.
• Responsible for the safe transfer and storage of all footage. Maintain accurate records, logs, and transcribe production activities.
• Experience working with mirrorless cameras and glass. Understanding menu layouts, resolution shooting settings, picture profiles, focal lengths, using manual focus and focus pulling. Being able to work with stabilizers such as gimbals, sliders, monopods, and tripods.

Depending on skill level, you will serve as a lead and/or second shooter/camera assistant/production assistant. This includes running cameras, setting up lights, capturing audio, and perfecting shot composition. During post, you will work primarily in Final Cut Pro for the wide variety of projects aforementioned above.

You must submit a demo reel to be considered for this position.

You may be required to prove your camera operation and editing skills during the interview process. Pay level will be based on skill, experience, and type of job (lead shooting, second shooting, etc.).

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
