CBS VFX: Unreal Generalist

Location: Remote

Contract: Full Time, Contractor

Responsibilities:

• Assemble environments in Unreal Engine using Kitbash or custom models according to Creative Direction and client needs.
• Toolsets include Maya, Substance Painter, ZBrush (Plus).
• Must be able to light exterior and interior environments with attention to detail and Art Direction as given by Creative Director.
• Understanding of color-space and PBR material creation in Unreal Engine.
• Knowledge and ability of Unreal’s foliage and landscape tool for instances where custom terrain is needed for an environment.
• Must be able to model, UV, and texture custom assets when needed.
• Must be able to work with lead Blueprint specialist, to achieve efficient scenes that have real-time playback frame rates.
• Must have knowledge of Unreal’s Sequencer and ability to render out cinematic quality images and/or animated camera sequences.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in 3D Art Focus or 2+ years experience in a AAA Gaming/VFX production environment.
• Expert knowledge of Unreal.
• Knowledge of Maya, Substance, Kitbash, Megascan asset usage.
• Great communication skills & ability to take direction.
• Can work independently when needed or amongst others to complete tasks and meet deadline requirements.

Helpful requirements:

• Blueprint understanding is bonus, but not necessary.
• Understanding of Virtual Production pipeline in VFX.
