Role Overview:
We’re hiring a Visual Designer to help envision the next generation of product experiences. The ideal candidate will have proven experience envisioning and delivering intuitive, visually appealing, and user-centric consumer experiences that align with the company’s product strategy and brand identity. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will play a pivotal role in creating outstanding user experiences that drive business and consumer outcomes through our products.
About the role:
- Design Excellence: Elevate our consumer product’s visual identity through your exceptional design skills. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including user research experts, interaction designers, and content strategists, to translate insights and requirements into compelling visual designs.
- User-Centric Creativity: Leverage user research findings and collaborate with interaction designers to create visually appealing and user-centric designs that resonate with our audience. Your designs will facilitate seamless user interactions and contribute to enhanced user retention.
- Design System Harmonization: Embrace our established design system and work within its guidelines to maintain visual consistency across the consumer product. Your adeptness with design systems will ensure that your creations seamlessly integrate into the overall user experience.
- E-Commerce Focus: Craft engaging visuals for e-commerce elements, including email, messaging systems, and checkout processes with a strong emphasis on the product experiences. Your designs will entice users and optimize their journey through our consumer product.
- Retention-Centric Creatives: Develop visual assets and designs that enhance user retention efforts. Collaborate with the content strategy team to ensure a cohesive and engaging presentation of content that encourages users to stay engaged.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside interaction designers to ensure that your visual designs seamlessly align with interaction patterns and user flows. Your ability to collaborate across disciplines will contribute to a holistic and impactful user experience.
- Data-Informed Design: Analyze user behavior and engagement data to inform your design decisions. Collaborate with data analysts to optimize your designs for maximum user appeal and retention.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Present and communicate your visual design concepts, rationale, and creative strategies to internal stakeholders and clients. Your clear and persuasive communication will contribute to well-informed decision-making.
- Innovation and Trends: Stay abreast of the latest design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in e-commerce and consumer product design. Your insights will guide the evolution of our visual design approach and ensure its relevance.
- Time Management Mastery: Efficiently manage multiple design projects and tasks within established timelines, ensuring the delivery of high-quality visual designs that align with user needs and business objectives.
About you:
- Must have at least 3+ years in the e-Commerce consumer space with a portfolio showcasing successful consumer-focused and user-centered design solutions.
- Comfortable with the creation of UI elements, working with typography and icon design.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, or similar software.
- Understanding of user research methodologies, usability testing, and information architecture.
- Knowledge of mobile design guidelines, best practices, and platform-specific design considerations.
- Experience working in Agile development environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders at all levels.
- A passion for keeping up with the latest design trends, technologies, and industry advancements.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and their implementation in mobile design is a plus.
