Starting ASAP on a 6-month contract, you will be helping to unleash every vision of beauty for a world-class brand, responsible for producing fresh, eye-catching, and original designs for a global colour cosmetics brand. The brand is going through a refresh which means you’ll have creative freedom over the innovative, sustainable, and overall look of the packaging design – from concept through to delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

We want to speak to top-level, Freelance Senior Packaging Designers with experience in the cosmetics industry – you’ll have a portfolio of inspiring and technically sound packaging projects. You will have a full understanding of the flow from design to campaign/comms – able to deliver work that translates across comms, campaign, TVC, and in-store.

Day-to-day:

• Leading packaging design and branding across all brand ranges from concept through to delivery
• Conceptualising, designing, and delivering new products and packaging for all product ranges
• Liaising with and supporting the brand creative and artwork teams.
• Creating, developing, and translating the brand personality into packaging design
• Understanding product range design, building harmony, consistency, and clear purpose across multiple products and functionalities
• Delivering packaging concepts and designs, graphical treatments, and material choices
• Presenting designs to key stakeholders throughout the business
• Support sustainability initiatives
• Understand technical limitations of print and relevant pack formats: bottles, labels, tubes, cartons, etc
• Reviewing packaging samples, print artwork, and print proofs
• Diagnosing challenges and creatively solving them

Ideally, you’ll have 10 years of experience from an in-house background – we’re looking for a CV of global, world-class brands in beauty and (colour) cosmetics. You’ll be able to lead large-scale, complex design projects – embedding yourself into the mix of the team, the brand, and the company.
