WLUK has an immediate opening for a Part-time News Video Editor/Writer. Start your career in video and news now! This is your first step into the exciting world of journalism and video content creation. This opportunity is ideal for current students pursuing degrees while studying Communications/Journalism/Content Creation/Digital Media.
Job responsibilities include:
- Editing video for weekend news content online and on-air
- Taking in news feeds from news bureaus and various news organizations
- Collaborating with anchors, reporters, and producers on video elements of newscasts
- Meeting deadlines in a high-energy working environment
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of non-linear editing software is preferred - but a strong paid training period is included
- Ability to work with a multitude of people and personalities while maintaining a professional work environment
