Description

Epic Rap Battles of History is seeking a talented and passionate After Effects Video Editor to play a pivotal role in crafting visually stunning and engaging content for our popular YouTube Comedy/Music series. This is an ongoing contract position that can be remote, we also have a small production office with editing workstations in Los Angeles.

Responsibilities

  • Editor/Compositor: Utilize your expert knowledge of After Effects to take assembled rough greenscreen performance cuts from Premiere Pro, rework and composite them in AE onto moving backgrounds.
  • VFX Artist: Enhance existing edits by adding special effects, transitions, animations, and visual elements to create dynamic and entertaining content.

Requirements

  • Proven Experience: A portfolio demonstrating strong comedy and musical sensibilities and expertise in After Effects video editing is essential for consideration.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, and other relevant software to create compelling visual effects.
  • Creative Vision: A keen eye for detail, composition, and storytelling, with the ability to bring innovative ideas to the table.
  • Time Management: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines effectively.
  • Equipment: Computer that can handle 4k footage.
  • Passion for Entertainment: A genuine interest in comedy, music, rap, entertainment and pop culture landscape.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team-based environment.

Starting salary will depend on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant, geographic location, market demands, relevant experience, training, level of education, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
