Pay: $2,000.00 per month

Job Description:

Quincy Community Theatre (QCT) in Quincy, Illinois seeks costumes designers for the conclusion of its 2023 season and 100th year celebration:

  • The Hobbit (first performance: October 17)
  • Peter Pan (first performance: November 30)

These two productions will have separate casts and will feature adult and child actors. As part of QCT’s Guest Artist Program, the designers will work alongside a professional staff and local volunteers in harmony with QCT’s mission statement: to offer and perpetuate quality theatre entertainment and education in the performing arts through community participation.

Quincy is a city along the Mississippi River with a population of 40,000, where there is a strong support for the arts. Quincy Community Theatre has its own facility in the Oakley-Lindsay Center, with a proscenium stage and a house size of 498.

Designers may apply for one or both productions. Dates of residency in Quincy are flexible.

Contracted stipends range from $750-$2000. Travel stipend and housing provided.
