About Mob Lobby:

Mob Lobby is a philosophy and educational channel created to fund impactful charities and nonprofits. We are looking for a dual-talented videographer/editor who can craft stories from start to finish, encapsulating the heart of our brand in each frame and cut.

Role: Videographer/Editor

$20/hour to start

8-12 hours/week on-site shooting; ~25 hours/week editing

Portfolio Required

Key Responsibilities:

Work with our creative team to film and edit content. Shoots will encompass simple indoor interviews, fast-paced skits, and outdoor shooting. You will be delivering content on a weekly basis and working directly with the Content Production Manager.

Videography Role (20-30%)

• Participate in 2-3 shoots per week, each spanning roughly 3-5 hours
• Setup and manage camera, lighting, and audio recording equipment
• Capture b-roll shots during shoots.

Editor Role (70-80%)

• Edit content to produce fast-paced, attention-grabbing videos - start to finish.
• Utilize Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing - occasional need for Photoshop and After Effects for asset creation and special effects.
• Use technical editing skills like keyframing, color grading, graphic creation, and sound design.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a videographer/editor
• A compelling portfolio showcasing framing, lighting, sound, and editing skills.
• Experience with DSLR cameras, Black Magic Cinema cameras especially
• A deep understanding of lighting setups, sound recording, and shot selection.
• Must be efficient in setting up, tearing down, and troubleshooting equipment.
• Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, with skills in Photoshop and After Effects
• Ability to tell a story through editing, crafting content that resonates with the intended audience.
• Be prepared to answer technical questions during the interview.
• Flexibility in scheduling, able to accommodate 2-3 shoots per week & work on a weekly deadline to produce videos.
• Reliable transportation to and from shoot locations. (We usually shoot 30 mins west of Pittsburgh)

Note: Mob Lobby provides all camera and audio recording equipment for the shoots. Familiarity and experience with our specific equipment, especially the Black Magic Pocket Cinema cameras, will be highly regarded. However, this is not required if you have the proper technical knowledge.

Pay: $18.72 - $22.54 per hour
