BASIC FUNCTION

The Senior Data warehouse developer provides management for the development of architecting, designing, building, and enhancing data warehousing, data mart, and extensive data services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• 10+ years of experience developing MS SQL Server programming solutions
• Proficiency with stored procedures and SSIS packages
• Bridge the gap between business and data by working cross-functionally with other teams
• Monitor and maintain the health of data
• Extract insights from data exploration tasks to inform business
• Design performant technical solutions
• Design reporting architecture and approach
• Analyze, design, and build dimensional and relational data models and logical data specifications
• Work with businesses to provide support for tickets about all production issues
• Document data mappings, data models, and ETL
• Continuously develop expertise in the data and data models within the data warehouse, understanding of support business domains
• Load and validate dimensions and measures via SSIS
• Perform all application unit and system testing
• Create a data dictionary and proper documentation on the data warehouse
• Data Governance: Establish mechanisms and processes to ensure ongoing quality of the data across all critical organizational systems
• Data Cleansing: Support ongoing data cleansing activities through analysis and automated scripts where possible
• Data Migration: Support migration of new data sources into existing applications through analysis and development of automated scripts
• Report/Dashboard Development: Support complex report and dashboard development that goes beyond the business user’s ability to self-serve
• Ad Hoc: Complete ad hoc projects and assignments as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of experience in data management and analytics
• Experience in SQL scripting, data manipulation, data analysis, data modeling, generating business insights, defining and measuring performance metrics basis statistical modeling
• Must be proficient in SQL and complex query development
• Experience extracting insights from data; communicating and presenting key findings to product teams.
• Strong experience with analytics and BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or other similar tools
• Experience with Datawarehouse technologies
• Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Talend, Matillion, or other similar tools
• Integrate multiple and complex data sources, including transactional and non-transactional, structured and unstructured
• Proven success in informing strategy through data-driven recommendations and insights
• Excellent documentation, presentation, and overall interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure with a high level of follow-through
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
• Expertise in planning and managing resource workload across initiatives
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Mentor users and peers to improve analytical skillsets across the organization.

Salary: $48.70 - $75.00 per hour
