The Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company’s overall strategy and goals. This person is responsible for completing graphic design projects and related marketing activities. Provide product and presentation support to Marketing, Product Managers and Sales Teams. Design packaging, instructions, merchandising, POS and sales materials. Manage marketing project through production. Responsible for brand standard compliance for company and private label brands.

General Responsibilities:

• Position will include engaging with Marketing, Sales, QA, Operations and other departments.
• Create and design packaging, presentation and make recommendations on existing product to reduce costs and/or provide production streamlining
• Work on in-house production and prototyping for merchandising, displays and POS
• Work closely with client standard manuals to assure packaging, manuals and display specs comply with brand standards
• Packaging designs and development are a large part of this position that include dielines, instructions and assembly
• Create specifications to be developed with product management

Graphic Functions -

• Develop the concept and presentation for product in the areas of:
• Product packaging
• Instruction/installation manuals
• Brochures, Product Announcements, catalogs and social media
• POP and signage

Photoshop Functions -

• Photo editing and manipulation
• Scanning
• Re-touching of images
• Color correction

Print Production Functions –

• Coordinate quotes for printing, illustrations, etc.
• Knowledge of printing procedures to accomplish job most effectively
• Responsible for timely shipment of artwork, proofs

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Graphic Designer must have proven design and presentation skills and proficiency in industry standard software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of interactive software such as InDesign.

Credentials and Experience

• Associate or Bachelors or technical Degree in Design or Graphics
• Minimum 4 years’ experience as Graphic Designer
• Proficiency in standard graphic design software applications
• Ability to multi-task within a high-pressure environment
• Photography skills a super plus

Pay: $50,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
