Summary:
We are seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join our team focused on designing innovative and visually appealing school supplies. As a Graphic Designer for school supplies, you will play a crucial role in creating engaging and educational designs that resonate with students, teachers, and parents. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring our school supply products to life.
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and Design: Generate design concepts for various school supply products, including notebooks, stationery, backpacks, and other related items.
- Visual Identity: Develop and maintain a consistent visual identity for our brand across all products, ensuring they align with our mission and target audience.
- Artwork Creation: Create eye-catching illustrations, graphics, and artwork that appeal to students and educators while balancing aesthetics and functionality.
- Packaging Design: Design packaging materials that are not only visually appealing but also informative, user-friendly, and eco-friendly when possible.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the product development team, marketing team, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet product requirements and market trends.
- Market Research: Stay updated on current design trends in the education and school supplies industry to inform your design decisions.
- File Management: Maintain organized design files, including digital assets and project documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably in the school supplies or educational sector.
- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong creative and artistic skills, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Understanding of printing processes and production techniques.
- Passion for education and a commitment to creating meaningful designs for students and educators.
Details:
- Job will be a 4 week temporary position, with opportunity to extend to full time.
- Monday - Thursday 9am to 5:30 pm (Friday and weekends off).
- In person in our NYC midtown Manhattan office.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
