ROLE SUMMARY

The h. wood Group is seeking a temporary Graphic Designer who will be a crucial contributor to our creative team, responsible for translating ideas and concepts into visually stunning designs. This is short term assignment, ranging from three to six months. Your role will involve creating a wide range of materials for print and digital platforms while ensuring brand consistency and high-quality design standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Maintain organized files and documentation for easy access and reference.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop creative concepts and design materials for various marketing collateral, branding projects, packaging, and printed and digital assets.
• Create visually appealing layouts, illustrations, and graphics that align with our brand identity and messaging.
• Design eye-catching materials for both print and digital platforms, such as brochures, flyers, banners, social media graphics, email templates, and website elements.
• Maintain and evolve our brand’s visual identity, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all touchpoints.
• Craft logos, icons, and other brand assets that resonate with our target audience.
• Curate materials for and create a variety of decks, including sales pitches, business development initiatives, event proposals, and brand guides, among others.
• Develop and maintain branded collateral, including menus, signage, packaging, logos, and websites.
• Complete projects by coordinating with external resources: art services, printers, etc.
• Contribute to creative strategy sessions by providing ideas and insights as well as staying up to date on design trends, tools, and techniques.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and pixel-perfect quality of all design assets before final delivery. Conduct thorough proofreading and review processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BFA in Graphic Design or related field
• 1-2 years of relevant design experience
• Strong graphic design skills and portfolio
• Strong Typography skills
• Web Design experience (Squarespace, WordPress, Shopify)
• Well-versed in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Keynote
• Creative with a strong eye for good aesthetic and problem-solving skills
• Must understand digital best practices, particularly for the web and social media landscape.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize projects
