Position Overview:

We are looking for an Android Developer with expertise in integrating and utilizing various hardware devices and sensors to enhance the functionality of Android applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Android platform, a passion for mobile technology, and a proven track record of successful device integration projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Device Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and leverage hardware devices, sensors, and APIs within Android applications. This includes but is not limited to camera integration, Bluetooth connectivity, GPS, sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, etc.), and other peripherals.
• Application Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications that seamlessly interact with integrated hardware devices. Ensure high performance and responsiveness of the applications.
• API Development: Create and maintain custom APIs and libraries for device communication and control, ensuring compatibility with various Android versions.
• Optimization: Optimize applications for maximum performance, taking into consideration factors like battery life, resource utilization, and memory management.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous testing of device-integrated features to identify and fix bugs, ensuring a seamless user experience. Perform thorough code reviews to maintain code quality standards.
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for device integration procedures, APIs, and application architecture.
• Stay Current: Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies, especially those related to device integration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Proven experience as an Android Developer with a strong focus on device integration.
• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages.
• In-depth knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, and development tools.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Knowledge of security best practices in Android app development is a plus.
