Duties and Responsibilities:

• WordPress Development: Develop, implement, and maintain WordPress-based websites and plugins.
• Custom Code Development: Write clean, efficient, and reusable code, including PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create custom themes and plugins.
• API Integrations: Integrate third-party APIs, including payment gateways, CRM, and other web services.
• Database Management: Administer MySQL databases, including optimization and backup procedures.
• Content Management: Work with content teams to implement content within WordPress and ensure SEO best practices are followed.
• Testing: Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure optimal user experience.
• Shopify Experience: Customize and maintain Shopify sites as a secondary responsibility, including theme customization and app integrations.
• Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, writers, and marketers) to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Website Optimization: Monitor and improve website performance metrics and load time.
• Version Control: Utilize GIT to manage versions of the codebase.
• Documentation: Produce technical documentation and user guides, working alongside our team.
• Security: Implement and maintain best practices for website security.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in WordPress development
• Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Good working knowledge of MySQL or other databases
• Experience with API integrations
• Experience in e-commerce platform customization, preferably Woocommerce and Shopify
• Excellent understanding of responsive design principles
• Experience with version control systems like GIT
• Familiarity with web performance optimization techniques
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Desirables:

• Experience in mobile application development
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js
• Experience with cloud services like AWS or Azure
• Knowledge of additional programming languages like Python, Ruby, or Java
• Experience with automated testing frameworks
