Development

• Cross-Platform Development: Design, develop, and implement native and cross-platform mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms.
• Coding and Languages: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using programming languages such as Swift for iOS and Kotlin or Java for Android.
• Bespoke Functionality: Develop custom features and functionalities based on client or project requirements.
• Front-end Development: Implement user interfaces according to design specifications, focusing on usability and user experience.
• Back-end Development: Build and manage back-end services, ensuring seamless interaction between the front-end and back-end.

Database Management

• Database Design: Create and manage robust database architectures for mobile applications.
• Database Connectivity: Implement real-time or near-real-time syncing between databases and mobile applications.
• Data Security: Implement strong data encryption techniques to secure user data.
• Bespoke Reporting: Create custom reports from database insights for internal and client usage, utilizing SQL queries and other data retrieval methods.

Testing

• Quality Assurance: Perform unit tests, integration tests, and UI/UX tests to identify and rectify issues.
• Bug Fixes: Debug applications to identify issues and make necessary fixes promptly.

Deployment

• App Store Management: Oversee the deployment of applications on various app stores, including Apple’s App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android.
• Updates and Maintenance: Regularly update the application to implement new features, fix bugs, and improve performance.

Collaboration and Reporting

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to ensure projects are completed in line with specifications.
• Client Interaction: Liaise with clients to gather requirements, provide updates, and seek feedback.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for code, algorithms, and APIs used in the application.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 3 years experience in mobile app development
• Proficient in Swift for iOS development and Kotlin or Java for Android development
• Strong experience in database management, preferably SQL databases
• Experience in creating bespoke reports from databases
• Good understanding of UI/UX principles
• Familiarity with version control systems like GIT
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills

Desirables

• Experience in hybrid mobile app frameworks like Flutter or React Native
• Knowledge of cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months

Salary: £28,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
