ABOUT THIS ROLE
The set designer is responsible for designing and creating the physical environment of an event. They work closely with the event planner and other members of the production team to ensure that the set design meets the needs of the event. The set designer must be able to work within a budget and be able to create a design that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the event planner and other members of the production team to develop a set design that meets the needs of the event.
- Create sketches, drawings, and models of the set design.
- Select materials and props for the set design.
- Work within a budget to create a design that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
- Oversee the construction and installation of the set design.
- Ensure that all safety regulations are followed during construction and installation.
- Work with lighting and sound technicians to ensure that the set design is properly lit and soundproofed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in theater design, interior design, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in set design for live events.
- Strong creative skills and ability to think outside of the box.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Pay: $55.00 - $80.00 per hour
