Job Description:

Pacific House seeks a dynamic Freelance Social Media Specialist to assist with digital promotions for our upcoming fall fundraiser. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in using Canva templates and have a keen eye for visual storytelling. You will collaborate closely with our team to amplify our message and mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Use Canva templates to design promotional materials for the fundraiser, ensuring all materials align with our brand and mission.
  • Create sponsor highlights to showcase our generous supporters, strengthening our community relationships.
  • Develop engaging content to educate the public on the significance of affordable housing and the ā€˜housing firstā€™ philosophy.
  • Monitor social media channels for engagement opportunities and audience feedback.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of social media campaigns to drive fundraiser participation.
  • Implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Optional: Develop short video clips or stories that encapsulate the essence of Pacific Houseā€™s mission and the fundraiserā€™s importance.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Canva or similar design software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft compelling, shareable social media posts.
  • A passion for Pacific Houseā€™s mission to end homelessness in Fairfield County.

Compensation:

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

  • 8 hour shift

Experience:

Social media management: 2 years (Preferred)
