Role Description
This is a contract Audio Technician role. The Audio Technician will be responsible for setting up, managing, and maintaining all equipment, including interpretation equipment, microphones, transmitters, receivers, and sound systems, to ensure seamless performance during live simultaneous interpretation events.
The Audio Technician will work on-site in various locations near the Hanover, MD area, and will be responsible for providing their own equipment. The availability of soundboards/mixers at each venue will vary and will be communicated to the Audio Technician before each project.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of and minimum 5 years of experience with interpretation equipment and audio equipment
- Proficiency with live sound systems
- Ability to operate microphones and other sound equipment
- Understanding of sound engineering and how to create satisfactory sound for live events
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
