About the role

• Creating websites and services using PHP, JavaScript, MariaDB and AWS technologies.
• Contribute to the technical team as both a team player, working and supporting your co-workers; while also happy to work independently, unblocking yourself as needed.
• Participates in wider work planning, offering suggestions and improvements to specification and implementation plans of larger projects.

About you

• 2+ years commercial experience in PHP (vanilla or with a framework), with excellent understanding of PHP7.x and good understanding of PHP8.x.
• 1+ year commercial experience with vanilla JS (ES6 onwards).
• 1+ year commercial experience with MariaDB 10.3 onwards or MySQL 8 onwards.
• Working understanding of automated testing.
• Equally comfortable working within the confines of a framework, using third-party SDKs, first-party reusable code modules and writing vanilla code.
• Able to manage your time effectively, planning, executing and then testing pieces of work, ensuring fast output of high-quality work.
• Able to thrive under pressure, such as when things do not go to plan, and learns from mistakes.
• Communicates clearly both in writing and verbally, with the ability to adjust depth and technical level depending on the audience.

Job Type: Full-time

Contract length: 6 months

Salary: £22,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
