Key Responsibilities:

• Content Creation:
• Craft high-quality, engaging, and SEO-optimized articles, blog posts, and website content.
• Tailor content for a global audience, with a spotlight on businesses in Johannesburg and South Africa at large.
• Collaborate with the SEO and marketing teams to produce content that resonates with our target audience and aligns with current SEO best practices.
• Research & Analysis:
• Stay updated with the latest in… SEO, marketing trends, and industry-relevant news to infuse content with current insights.
• Monitor competitors’ content to identify gaps and potential areas of improvement for SEO Junky.
• Content Strategy Development:
• Aid in the development and continuous refinement of the content strategy to ensure alignment with company objectives and market demands.
• Use analytics tools to gauge content performance and suggest adjustments as necessary.
• Editing & Proofreading:
• Review and edit content for clarity, grammar, and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Work with fellow writers and contributors to refine their submissions, ensuring a consistent voice across all content.
• Collaboration:
• Team up with designers, video producers, and other creatives to produce multi-faceted content pieces.
• Attend and actively participate in brainstorming sessions, offering innovative ideas and concepts for content campaigns.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional writing experience, preferably in the SEO and digital marketing niche.
• Proficient understanding of SEO best practices and how they apply to content creation.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and analytics tools.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• A proactive attitude, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Residing in or willing to relocate to Johannesburg is a plus, but not mandatory.
