Mid/Senior Level Creative Artworker – 9-12 months Maternity Cover (Manchester)
Chapman Taylor is seeking a talented Mid/Senior Creative Artworker to join our team. This is a temporary position to cover maternity leave for 9-12 months, and you will be based at our Manchester studio. As a crucial member of our Graphics Team, you will be instrumental in providing creative artworker support to our teams on both UK and international projects.
- To support architectural teams in managing and overseeing all project-related documentation, including bids, capability documents, design presentations, and reports.
- Create and develop artwork for a variety of materials, including brochures, catalogues, presentations, public exhibition boards, bid documents, requests for proposals, project design reports, and more
- Perform high-quality image retouching and photography enhancement
- Collaborate with printing partners and manage print processes
- Take ownership and responsibility for projects from the initial brief to final delivery
- Keep the Head of Graphics and Manchester Studio Directors informed of project progress at every stage to ensure that design deadlines are met
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in producing high-quality and creative brochures and documentation for electronic and print-ready formats
- A portfolio showcasing inspiring, creatively driven work highlighting conceptual thinking and robust visual design skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a keen eye for layout and typography
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to confidently present ideas
- Excellent time-management skills, enabling you to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects concurrently
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team to deliver innovative and creative print and digital projects from concept to final execution
- Experience in project management
- Familiarity with adherence to brand and corporate guidelines where applicable
- Previous experience within an architectural practice would be advantageous
- A bachelor’s degree in graphic design
- Proven experience in graphic design in a similar industry
- Motion graphics/animation skills are a plus
