Web DeveloperOur client is passionate about supporting communities in having a voice and opportunity to influence the issues impacting their everyday life. As a consulting firm, they work with a wide variety of clients, mainly in the public sector, on community engagement and outreach to bring people’s voices into a variety of projects. Their work spans transportation and transit, water utilities, land use, natural resources, climate, cleanup, energy, and other sectors that impact communities. They are seeking a skilled Web Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in WordPress, HTML, and web development, with a focus on maintaining and enhancing a portfolio of websites.

Web Developer Responsibilities

• Website Auditing: Audit and ensure the stability and correctness of 120 websites, primarily built in WordPress. Collaborate with a former employee responsible for sites built with Node.js/Express.
• Project Management: Lead and manage multiple web development projects simultaneously, including coaching junior developers. Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a small team.
• Documentation and Systems: Improve documentation and systems for efficient project management and knowledge transfer.
• Development and Maintenance: Deploy websites and manage SSL certificate maintenance.

Web Developer Qualifications

• 5+ years of web development experience.
• Strong proficiency in WordPress and HTML.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage across multiple projects.
• Experience in project management and team leadership.
• Experience with Node, Express, and/or Mongo would be a plus, not required.

Salary: $120-130K contract to hire (DOE)
