Optiver is a leading financial trading firm seeking a talented Freelance Graphic Designer to join our marketing team. We are dedicated to producing exceptional design solutions that align with our brand identity and resonate with our target audience… We are seeking an individual with a proven track record in creating captivating visual content. This freelance role requires a versatile designer who can produce a range of materials, including branded visuals, social media assets, collateral materials, tradeshow designs, and occasionally, motion graphics. Excellent communication and ability to meet deadlines is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Create visually compelling designs that effectively communicate our brand identity across various platforms
• Work independently within established brand guidelines
• Develop high-quality branded visuals for digital and print materials, including social media graphics, presentations, internal branding displays, brochures, and more
• Collaborate with global Art Director to ensure consistency in design
• Translate complex concepts into visually appealing and easy-to-understand graphics – primarily for our tech and trading audiences
• Occasionally produce engaging motion graphics to enhance our visual storytelling
• Occasionally design eye-catching tradeshow graphics and materials that make a lasting impression
• Provide creative input and innovative ideas to enhance design projects
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design best practices, and emerging technologies

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of professional graphic design experience
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in branding, visual communication, and multi-disciplinary design skills (5 pieces minimum)
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects)
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for typography, color theory and layout
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience in motion graphics is a significant advantage

Compensation is $30-$50/hr., depending on skill level and experience.
