Sundays 8:30am - 11:30am, occasional evening/weekend events
Description:
The AVLM Video Producer will be familiar with the operation of all cameras, video switching, and livestreaming processes used at Unity Spiritual Center (USC). The Video Producer will be responsible for framing shots of people speaking, singing, playing instruments and general congregational shots, and switching between these shots for sending to the livestream. The Video Producer will also be familiar with setup and operation of a BlackMagic ATEM Mini video switch, OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) video encoding, and the requirements to create and activate a stream on desired streaming services (currently Facebook).
Currently Used Equipment:
- Two AViPAS 10x PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom) cameras operated remotely using either a hand-held remote, an AViPAS joystick controller, or StreamDeck programmed buttons.
- BlackMagic ATEM Mini video switch.
Workflow:
- The AViPAS cameras and a feed from the display computer are connected to the BlackMagic ATEM.
- The ATEM accepts the four video sources and an audio source from the X32 sound board to create the composite livestream video.
- The ATEM sends this video to a laptop via USB.
- OBS receives the video as a webcam input, encodes it for livestreaming, and sends it to the livestream platform (currently Facebook Live).
Responsibilities:
- Operating all cameras, video switching, and livestreaming processes.
- Framing shots of people speaking, singing, playing instruments, and general congregational shots.
- Switching between shots for sending to the livestream.
- Setup and operation of the BlackMagic ATEM Mini video switch.
- OBS video encoding and livestream activation on desired streaming services (currently Facebook).
- Directing camera operators if present, or operating the camera systems solo.
- Capturing recordings (.mp4) of all livestreamed services and events.
- Assisting with forecasting, planning, and presenting needs for video capture and processing growth in collaboration with the AVLM Production Director.
Requirements:
Prefer candidates with video operation and/or production experience, however we are willing to train students currently enrolled or previously enrolled in a related college or vocational training program.
