We are looking for a talented and creative Brand Designer to lead the Shop Gifts branch of the Arabic Language Centre, by creating e-commerce products with inspiring Arabic calligraphy products. Our Mission is to represent Arabic in the best of ways from our educational courses to our product options.

As a volunteer(Junior) Brand Designer, you will be responsible for developing visually stunning and culturally relevant designs for our Arabic Gift Shop sub-brand, with the potential to grow into a paid position.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a strong and recognisable brand identity for the Arabic Gift Shop subbrand
• Design visually appealing and culturally relevant products that feature Arabic calligraphy
• Collaborate with the Founder to determine the product range for the Arabic Gift Shop, including identifying trends and opportunities.
• Conduct market research to identify customer preferences and create designs that align with those preferences
• Oversee the design process from conception to production, working with vendors to ensure the quality of the final product
• Continually improve the Arabic Gift Shop’s design aesthetic and product offerings through ongoing market research and feedback
• Upload product items to website and other ecommerce websites such as Shopify, Printify, Centre’s website, Instagram

Requirements:

• A strong understanding and appreciation of Arabic calligraphy and its cultural significance
• Completed or currently studying courses related to Communication design, Marketing, Branding and Business
• Demonstrated experience and expertise in brand design and graphic design
• Proficiency in industry-standard graphic design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite)
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others
• A passion for creating meaningful and impactful designs that resonate with our target audience
• Experience working with ecommerce platforms (such as Shopify, Printify) is a plus
