Product Designer

A leading digital streaming network is seeking a Product Designer - UI/UX who’s excited to design a world-class streaming experience with a specific focus on Monetization. The successful candidate will create pixel-precise designs that are on brand and are created based on product requirements and partner input/feedback. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of product design experience. The company offers a great work environment!

Product Designer Pay and Benefit

• Hourly pay: $50/hr
• Worksite: Leading digital streaming network (New York, NY 10019 - Open to remote candidates in the United States in Eastern or Western time zones)
• W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program
• 40 hours/week, 5 Month Assignment

Product Designer Responsibilities:

• Create pixel-precise designs that are on brand and are created based on product requirements and partner input/feedback.
• Research the competitive landscape, create user flows, and work towards product designs that take into consideration evolving functionality, technological innovation, and their effects on the product and company revenue.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, product marketing, and marketing to develop compelling solutions across multiple problem spaces like conversion and retention.
• Be an advocate for visual and functional consistency while also capitalizing on strategic opportunities to evolve our systems and interactions.

Product Designer Qualifications:

• 5+ years of product design experience.
• Experience quickly adapting to fast-moving timelines and variable project requirements with the ability to work independently.
• The right candidate should have experience working in an agile context, where they have been a member of a delivery team in a product development environment; working closely with product owners, developers, and QA.
• Experience partnering with other designers and product and engineering organizations to deliver cutting edge design across the entire product lifecycle. Been through multiple launches.
• Able to transform complex concepts into simple, approachable experiences that are visually balanced, across any device.
• Proactively gather consensus from multiple internal partners and be able to change tasks quickly based on shifts in priorities or urgent deadlines.
• A strong UX and visual design sense, with an eye for simple, intuitive interfaces.
• Ability to rapidly concept, ideate, and execute multiple concepts.
• An impressive portfolio that illustrates a deep understanding of functionality paired with a modern visual design sensibility. Any applicant without an online portfolio will not be considered.
• Embraces the dynamic nature of software development.
• Curious, smart, biased towards action, and deeply focused on the outcomes of your work.
• Know that great design starts with understanding the problem.
• A designer whose work displays both pixel-level attention to detail and an acute understanding of broader usability paradigms.
• A team player who lives and breathes the interactive space.
• Portfolio: Must be a URL based link. Should include case studies that include the rationale behind the design decisions in the context of the user needs and the business goals. Examples of products that are consumer-facing, shipped out to customers, is preferred.
