What does this team do?

You’ll be working with our Cloud Implementation team, a tech-focused, AWS certified team working within the core of our business to ensure we are functioning on all cylinders in our AWS-Native environment.

What would you do in this role?

You’ll be consulting with this team to ensure that we are set up for success in our serverless system (AWS) - specifically when it comes to stability and security. You’ll be helping with DNS Strategy Review, load balancing strategy review, general HA strategy review and more.

But What Would You Actually Do in this role?

• Design, implement, and manage network architecture in AWS, leveraging AWS network firewall solutions to ensure robust security.
• Help architect a solution that replaces current Palo Alto Panorama and F5 Big IP network components.
• Utilize Terraform to define and manage network infrastructure as code, ensuring scalability, repeatability, and maintainability.
• Help configure and optimize the AWS Security Hub into the network architecture to monitor, detect, and respond to security threats effectively.
• Collaborate with DevOps and software engineering teams to understand application requirements and provide networking solutions that meet their needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to network security and cloud infrastructure.

Required Experience

• Proven experience working as a Network Engineer with a strong focus on AWS and Palo Alto.
• 3+ Years Experience with Palo Alto Panorama and F5 Big IP.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Experience managing Palo Alto in an AWS environment.
• Experience Implementing AWS Network Firewall would be a plus.
• Proficiency in designing, implementing, and managing secure and scalable network architectures in AWS.
• Extensive experience with Terraform for defining and managing infrastructure as code.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS Security Hub and its integration with various AWS services.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, VPN, and security protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• A passion for investing - ideally with professional experience within finance/fintech industries.

Compensation

The budget for this role is $85-$100 per hour depending on experience.
