Microsoft Developer

Due to significant growth, the IT team at Luxfer MEL Technologies is rapidly expanding. You’ll bring a hunger to succeed, an innovative approach to software development, and your solid experience designing and implementing internet technologies within Microsoft Cloud and Power Platform, to drive change and ensure our systems meet the requirements of the business as it grows.

Our Company

Luxfer MEL Technologies is a global leader in the development, manufacture and supply of Magnesium and Zirconium based products and services to technology industries worldwide. We have approximately 300 employees across the UK & US. Zirconium chemicals are produced at the Swinton & Flemington NJ sites from a range of raw materials to service multiple niche markets including, automotive, refinery, biomass, coatings, pharmaceutical and military / defence. Our lightweight magnesium alloys are machined or extruded to custom shapes and specifications to meet our customer requirements. They are used in high performance, safety critical aerospace, defence, healthcare, oil and gas and Formula 1 components.

The Role – Microsoft Developer

Reporting to the Division IT Manager, as a Microsoft Developer you will focus on the design, implementation, and management of all Microsoft cloud platform technologies as a central repository and reporting platform for the business. You’ll help integrate this with all other business systems to streamline processes through common data services and models.

Your duties will involve, although will not be limited to:

• Designing, implementing, and supporting our Power Platform Services
• Developing an integrated approach to our internal and external systems to ensure data clarity and reporting from first line workforce to senior leadership.
• Consulting with business stakeholders and providing technical solutions, from concept to completion
• Providing support and technical leadership to internal IT resources
• Producing and maintaining technical documentation
• Supporting auditing requirements, collating reports, evidence, interacting with internal and external auditors.

Our Requirements – Microsoft Developer

You will have a strong focus and knowledge of Microsoft technologies, system languages and tools needed to develop our systems to first class standards, ensuring business continuity, performance, and productivity, alongside:

• Solid experience working within the Microsoft Power Platform.
• Knowledge and proven experience in web design through the Microsoft SharePoint Platform
• Experience with integration and application programming interfaces (APIs)
• Excellent in-depth knowledge of PowerShell / JSON / JavaScript and SQL programming
• Proven experience in the development of IT projects from concept to completion, whilst collaborating closely with internal stakeholders.
• Superb time-management skills and an adaptable approach in a demanding environment
• Ability to work independently using initiative.

The Package

As a Microsoft Developer based at our site in Swinton, you will benefit from:

• 6 month (FTC) contract
• Salary in the region of £40,000 - £45,000 with the level dependent on qualifications and experience
